I had almost forgotten about the "First Friday" rule. When I was a kid in Catholic School  I lived for it, though, because it got us out of an hour's worth of class between lining up, walking across the property to the sactuary, sitting/standing/kneeling through mass and getting back to the classroom afterward.  They also made us go to confession sometimes. The worst trouble I ever got into in Catholic school was when one of the nuns chimed in on the PA system and said, "Mrs. Digan, you need to bring your class to confession immediately," to which I replied (loudly), "Are we really THAT bad??"  I was in fifth grade. I don't know how I survived until sixth.

My husband and in-laws took my three year old  fuchsia lady bug (Tara), my four year old Spiderman girl (Tristen) and my six year old Pink and Yellow butterfly (Savannah) around my subdivision.  I just can't adequately relay to you how much candy is in my house (they had parties at play practice last night, at school [preschool] today, at a Fall Festival early this afternoon and at church after that and they each [plus my ten year old rock star who didn't T or T, but gave out candy with the little neighbor girl next door, while I gave it out here] dragged home bags full of candy from each of those places before even beginning to trick or treat).  I will definitely be making a trip to the St. Vincent dePaul food pantry to drop most of it (quite literally as much as a 13-gallon trash bag can hold) off after mass tomorrow---that would just be ASKING for trouble (not to mention extremely wasteful and greedy) to keep that much candy around.

Let me rephrase that did anyone with or without kids go trick or treating?

Did any one with kids go trick or treating?

We took our son Mark Thomas out, he's 4 1/2
and he did really good this year.
